What is this product?
This is a lampholder designed to go on the end of cable hanging from the ceiling.
These bright lampholders are solid, traditional and fun. They bring colour to the 'bare bulb' look.
Make a great pendant set with this lampholder with contrasting coloured cable.
Pros and Cons
Pros
Original looking finish
Easy to connect to cable
Does not need an earth
Cons
Doesn't hold a shade - do not consider this lampholder if you are looking to suspend a shade. It looks like it has a lock ring but this does not serve this purpose.
Fragile - (will break if dropped)
How to use it
Before you start using it, you will need 2 core cable stripped back by 20-25mm. See our cables section on for videos on how to do this.
See the video on the picture slider above showing how to wire this lampholder.
If in doubt you should consult an electrician.
What light bulb does it take?
This lampholder takes an E27 or 'ES' bulb. An ES bulb has a screw cap on it, 27mm wide, and one of the most common bulbs in the UK.
When should I buy it?
in the following scenarios:
to wire to existing cable set you already have
Where a natural look is desired
to replace an existing lampholder
