Traditional twisted braided flex for decorative lighting
Made in the UK, this 3 core 0.75mm² twisted braided flex is a practical general-purpose choice for pendants, table lamps, floor lamps and other decorative lighting where the cable will form part of the finished appearance.
Each of the three electrical cores is individually double insulated, textile braided and then twisted together. The result is a flexible cable with the traditional twisted appearance often wanted on period, decorative and made-to-order lighting.

This is our usual choice for decorative pendants, table lamps and floor lamps where 0.75mm² cable is appropriate.
If you are rewiring an antique or working with particularly narrow stems, arms or cable passages, our 0.5mm twisted braided flex is finer and more flexible and may be the better option.

Using twisted braided flex
The cable is stored on drums and cut to the quantity you order, so whether you need a few metres or a larger length, we will wind off the amount required.
Twisted braided flex needs a little more preparation than ordinary plastic flex because of the textile braid. See the How to use Twisted Braided Flex video above for a quick guide.
If you are not confident carrying out electrical work, use a suitably competent electrician.

Compatible fittings
This cable can be used with suitable Lampfix lampholders, ceiling roses and other lighting components.
Where a cordgrip is required, screw-type cordgrips are normally the better choice for braided flex. Push-fit cordgrips may not secure this type of cable adequately.
